Remote Component | Stryker

Overview

A REMOTE COMPONENT provides a mechanism to deliver extended functionality to a webpage beyond what is available through AEM platform components. Businesses can create business-specific functionality as a 3rd party component and present them on AEM webpages by using the REMOTE COMPONENT. Examples of 3rd party components are ROI calculators, complex forms, etc.

For a 3rd party component to appear as an option in the REMOTE COMPONENT configuration list, it must be:

  1. Built according to Co-ordinated iFrame Specification View whitepaper
  2. Hosted on a server managed by Stryker's IT group
  3. Ownership transferred to Stryker's IT with appropriate documentation
  4. Registered as a Remote Component by the Marketing Operations site admin

Configuration settings

1. Coordinate with IT and the Marketing Operations team to register your 3rd party component so that it is available as a Remote Component.
