Image hotspot

Overview

An image hotspot allows authors to map clickable areas onto an image that will navigate visitors to a various pages for more details about the object in the image.

Prerequisites:

  • The image used as the source of the hotspot needs to be created as a hotspot within the DAM (digital assets manager).

Steps to create an image hotspot

  1. Import your image to the Digital Asset Manager(DAM)
  2. Click on the image and select "edit" from the tools menu.
  3. Click the "Add hotspot" icon.
  4. Click the "hotspot" icon.
  5. Click within the image to place hotspot targets where you want the image to be clickable.
  6. Once you click a location on the image, you can then fill in details such as a hotspot name and destination URL (internal file path/external URL).
