Bryan Batson, MD, is a native of Greenville, Mississippi. He received his undergraduate degree in petroleum engineering from Louisiana State University, returned to Mississippi for medical school and residency, and then chose Hattiesburg Clinic to begin his professional career. 

Dr. Batson is an internal medicine-pediatrics physician with a specialty of clinical hypertension. He has practiced medicine with Hattiesburg Clinic for 21 years and has held numerous physician leadership positions during that time, including Chief Medical Information Officer from 2011 to 2020. In July 2020, he was named Chief Executive Officer of Hattiesburg Clinic, the first physician to hold this title.

In this episode of Caring Greatly, Dr. Batson shares the changes he and his leadership team have made at Hattiesburg Clinic to support team member wellbeing. He talks about a physician onboarding process that supports new physicians through their first three years at the organization, the time when they are building leadership credibility, teamwork and habits that will support them throughout their tenure at the organization.
