With Independent Pin Placement, the surgeon may easily build a frame to treat fractures close to a joint, capture fracture fragments, or to stay clear of damaged soft-tissue areas.
E. Compatibility
The Hoffmann II Compact MRI 5mm/8mm Rod to Rod Coupling is used to connect the Hoffmann II Compact MRI 5mm Rods to a Hoffmann II 8mm Rod. This may be helpful in a Foot/Ankle Frame or to connect a humerus frame to a radius frame. The coupling is tightened with a 7mm Wrench.
The Hoffmann 3 Modular External Fixation System components are external fixation frame components for use with the components of the Hoffmann II MRI and Hoffmann II Compact MRIExternal Fixation Systems, in conjunction with Apex Pins. The fracture frame is to provide stabilization of compound fractures and where soft tissue injury may preclude the use of other fracture treatments.
