ComfortGel SE was designed with the overall patient experience in mind and has specific features to help redistribute pressure and enhance patient comfort.
When we developed the SE series of stretcher surfaces, we focused our innovative design on aiding in proactive prevention.
ComfortGel SE's incorporation of gel provides immersion – meaning the surface can effectively absorb and redistribute patient weight for added protection and pressure injury prevention.
It’s true: Pressure injuries can begin in as little as the first two hours* of a patient’s admittance into a clinical setting. They pose a serious threat and should be treated as such.
With the severity of pressure injuries in mind, we designed ComfortGel SE with specific features to aid in treatment and prevention. Most important of these features, is gel.
A CoreGel
B Sloped heel section
Located in the sacral region, CoreGel creates a positioning pocket to help prevent patient migration1. Its design helps absorb and disperse patient weight to aid in pressure redistribution.
ComfortGel SE features a sloped heel section to further address our commitment to pressure injury prevention by helping reduce the risk of heel breakdown.
In line with our commitment to aiding in proactive prevention, we designed the cover of ComfortGel SE with specialized features intended to make it more durable and effective at infection control.
It was engineered for ease of use, especially during the maintenance and care process. Its cover is made with Dartex for increased chemical resistance.
A Welded seams
B Three-sided zipper
ComfortGel SE features RF welded seams that utilize electromagnetic bonding to limit fluid ingress and infiltration.
Caregivers can fully inspect the condition of internal components of their stretcher surface with ComfortGel SE’s three-sided zipper.
