Stryker Lifecycle Support

Our support commitment

Stryker is committed to ensuring the safety, effectiveness, and security of our cyber devices through defined support phases over the life of a Stryker product. At a high level, cyber devices are medical devices that include software or are software, can connect to the internet, or can be vulnerable to cyber threats. Stryker has aligned with emerging cybersecurity and medical device regulation best practices to define a planned End of Support for our cyber devices, a fixed calendar date on which all units of a cyber device will no longer receive software improvements or maintenance.

Support phases

Guaranteed Support

Stryker cyber devices are in Guaranteed Support immediately upon launch. During this support phase, customers can expect Stryker to restore cyber devices to their intended use, including situations in which the creation and deployment of software patches may be required.

Limited Support

In certain circumstances, such as limited component availability or unanticipated third-party software obsolescence, a product may enter Limited Support. During this support phase, Stryker will provide best-effort service solutions to support the intended use of the cyber device.

End of Support

Upon End of Support, cyber devices will no longer be improved, repaired, maintained, or supported. Customers will be notified by Stryker as the End of Support date approaches.

For full terms and conditions, see the Instructions for Use and/or Security Operations Manual applicable to your device.
