The Trochanteric Gamma3 Nail is indicated for fixation of stable and unstable intertrochanteric fractures, including but not limited to nonunion, malunion and tumor resections, while the Long Length Gamma3 Nail inidcation may include fractures resulsting from trauma, nonunion, malunion, pathological fractures, impending pathological fractures, tumor resections and revision procedures
The Gamma 3 lag-screw is designed with four locking grooves to allow for quarter turn adjustments, each advancing the screw 0.8mm for precise lag screw positioning towards the desired optimal TAD. The lag screw and set screw interface is designed to help reduce a basicervical gap. After compression / apposition is applied on the lag screwdriver and the set screw engaged with the lag screw, the asymmetric depth profile in the lag screw locking grooves allow sliding only in the lateral direction. This was designed to reduce the fracture gap, allow for compression of the fracture site under physiological loading and thus promoting secondary healing.
Osteoporotic bone or metastatic disease in the femoral head, short femoral head or neck fragments, or unstable intertrochanteric fractures with missing medial-caudal bone support.
ADAPT system is software based instrumentation designed for use in Gamma3 surgery. The software assists the surgeon with implant alignment, lag screw length determination, lag screw positioning and distal targeting. ADAPT is the only augmented reality instrumentation of its kind.
ADAPT allows you to:
Implant placement is one of the most important part of a cephalomedullary nailing procedure. ADAPT is designed to provide the surgeon with information to find the desired Gamma3 implant position and placement.
ADAPT features an intuitive workflow that adjusts to the surgeon's technique at each step of the procedure.
ADAPT offers added guidance for distal locking with the Distal Targeting System including precise C-arm positioning instructions.
