During this webinar Jan Noelle will share his experiences on the way to ergonomic improvements in the daily business of emergency medical services and how to face the challenge for improving patients and especially crew safety. Jan will show you the steps and the experiences that RKiSH have made on their way to ergonomic ambulances. He will give you an insight on what EMS services can do to avoid back problems of the crew and what is necessary to make ambulances safer.
Speaker bio
Jan is an Engineer (B.Eng. Rescue Engineering) and a Paramedic (Notfallsanitäter) and he is responsible for conceptual procurements in the field of emergency vehicles and medical devices as well as the development of technical solutions for the emergency service. RKiSH is a municipal EMS service with more than 210.000 calls per year and serving 1.2 million people in its area with more than 1.300 Paramedics. Jan is working on the continuous development of resources such as ambulances and medical technology and has a big focus on crew and patient safety, together with ergonomic improvements. He is an expert in the DIN working committee "road ambulances and their medical equipment" at national and European level (CEN / TC 239 / WG1), the working group for standards like EN 1789. He is also working as a free Consultant for EMS companies and industry.
