Stryker’s R&D facility in India, Stryker’s Global Technology Centre (SGTC), recently expanded to accommodate rigorous life cycle testing of medical devices, including additional highly skilled engineers and microbiologists to conduct prototyping and product development testing in addition to expanded microbiology development testing.
The expansion allows Stryker to add more capabilities and accommodate for the future growth of R&D across a variety of procedures. Stryker established its first R&D facility in India more than 15 years ago to provide engineering support to R&D functions in domestic and other emerging markets. Today the center has over 1,100 employees and is one of the company’s leading strategic innovation hubs. In 2022, Stryker expanded its footprint in India by launching a new facility under the flagship of Stryker Global Technology Centre (SGTC) to further the company’s commitment to create a robust ecosystem of research, medical technology innovation and talent expertise.
The SGTC facility has expanded to allow for rigorous product development life cycle testing of Stryker’s technology. This advanced facility, spanning 55,600 square feet across three floors, serves as a key enabler for accelerating innovation from India for local and global markets.
