Circular external fixation for fractures, joint contractures, fusions, limb lengthening, deformity correction and bone and soft tissue reconstruction in pediatric patients and adults.
The Hoffmann LRF is a modern circular fixation system designed to reduce construct complexity and simplify application. The typical LRF construct features two or more rings bridged by three to four telescopic struts with multiplanar, ball-jointed fixation bolts. Once applied, the LRF can be unlocked for gross frame adjustment and fracture reduction. The LRF can be finely adjusted to aid in precise limb alignment and definitively locked with secure, advanced locking features. Tight component interfaces may reduce sheer forces and promote construct stability.
Hoffmann LRF Build-A-Long Static F&A Frame with telescopic struts
Hoffmann LRF feautures ball-jointed telescopic struts.
Hoffmann LRF Ring offering
Available in black anodized aluminum and radiolucent braided carbon fiber Carbon fiber rings offer greater stiffness compared to market-leading aluminum and carbon fiber rings*
Hoffmann LRF Wire bolt adaptor
The Hoffmann LRF Wire Bolt Adaptor is used in conjuctiontion with Wire Bolts to capture obliquely inserted wires or wires placed above or below the ring’s surface. They are offered in long and short versions.
Hoffmann LRF Bifocal transport
Continuing the legacy of innovation found in the Hoffmann External Fixation product family, the market's first dedicated bone transport strut is now available in the modern Hoffmann LRF Circular External Fixation System.
Hoffmann LRF Fine tuning length adjustment
The length of the telescopic struts can be fine-tuned once the frame is assembled. This feature allows the clinician to apply distraction or compression to the construct at any time during the course of the treatment.
Hoffmann LRF Bone Lengthening
Continuing the legacy of innovation found in the Hoffmann External Fixation product family, the market's first dedicated bone transport strut is now available in the modern Hoffmann LRF Circular External Fixation System.
Hoffmann LRF Slotted Plates
Slotted plates can be used to build a variety of offset component assemblies. Slotted plates are commonly used as modular ring “tabs” to capture threaded rods or struts that do not directly align with adjacent rings. Slotted plates are designed to accommodate both 6mm and 8mm diameter components. In addition to offsetting 6mm threaded rods, slotted plates can be used to attach components such as telescopic struts and pin/wire fixation components.
Hoffmann LRF Spherical washers
The length of the telescopic struts can be fine-tuned once the frame is assembled. This feature allows the clinician to apply distraction or compression to the construct at any time during the course of the treatment.
Hoffmann LRF Wire Bolt
The Stryker Hoffmann LRF (Limb Reconstruction Frame) System is intended for fixation of fractures, joint contractures, fusions, limb lengthening, deformity correction, bone and soft tissue reconstruction in pediatric patients and adults.
Hoffmann LRF Trifocal Transport Frame
Hoffmann LRF can be configured to perform a Trifocal bone transport.
Hoffmann LRF Gross Length Adjustment
The length of the Telescopic Strut can be easily adjusted to fit between 2 rings when building the frame. Gross length adjustment may also be useful during fracture reduction.
Hoffmann LRF circular external fixation overview
Based on the long-standing tradition of simplicity and reliability of the original Hoffmann Fixator, the Hoffmann LRF design adds new versatility to match today’s biological repair and reconstruction methods. The typical LRF construct features two or more rings bridged by three to four telescopic struts with multiplanar, ball-jointed fi xation bolts. Once applied, the LRF can be unlocked for gross frame adjustment and fracture reduction. The LRF can be finely adjusted to aid in precise limb alignment and definitively locked with secure, advanced locking features.
Hoffmann LRF frame range of motion
Once mounted, the LRF can be unlocked and used as a fracture reduction tool. In addition to the quick release mechanisms, all ball joints must be unlocked to achieve full range of motion. Ball joints allow for 12° of angulation from neutral.
Hoffmann LRF gradual correction system animation
The Hoffmann LRF gradual correction system introduces modern dynamic correction components into the LRF platform. The addition of hinged telescopic struts are designed to support a wide range of procedures including articulated distraction and the addition of telescopic motors further augment the Hoffmann LRF platform to take on indications requiring gradual corrective adjustments, such as equinus foot deformity correction.
Hoffman LRF bone transport
Continuing the legacy of innovation found in the Hoffmann external fixation product family, the market's first dedicated bone transport strut is now available in the modern Hoffmann LRF circular external fixation system.
